German Valle is an award-winning Director of Photography with 20 years of industry experience. His most recent work as a DP includes three Tyler Perry productions; Zatima (10 episodes),  House of Payne Season 10, 11, 12, Assisted Living Season 4, 5, 6, Young Dylan Season 4, The Micheal Blackson Show.

He was also the second unit DP for Teen Wolf: The Movie reshoots (2021). German’s experience also includes many successful independent short films and features. He has received several Best Cinematography awards from various film festivals both nationally and internationally.

German has a masterful understanding of how to shape light to create the desired look and feel. He was the Chief Lighting Technician in several multi-million dollar projects, including Hawkeye, On The Come Up, and Queen Bees. He can light massive stages, locations, LED video walls, and complex green screens with huge budgets and all the toys, but also can achieve beautiful images when working with small budget and less toys. His experience on set allows him to solve unforeseen challenges quickly and effectively.

German’s attention to detail can be seen in every shot he takes. He allows the mood and emotion of the scene to influence his color palette, depth of feel and composition. His lighting and artistry behind the camera visually connects audiences to his work. He seeks inspiration from the work of great cinematographers including, Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki, Rodrigo Prieto, Eduardo Sierra, and Conrad Hall.

German received his Education from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking, where he studied closely under his mentor, Robert Collins, the three-time Emmy winning Director of Photography.

He is the owner of Bam Bam Lights. His company has helped produce projects with lighting, rigging, and camera equipment.
